Mutton Khurma

  • 1kg Mutton
  • 3 Teja whole red dried chillies
  • 1tsp Teja garlic powder
  • 1 Teja cinnamon stick
  • 6 Teja whole green cardamons
  • 1tsp Teja turmeric
  • 1tsp Salt
  • Pinch of saffron
  • 4 large onions
  • 1tbsp Teja coriander powder
  • 1/4tsp Teja ground ginger
  • 6 Teja whole cloves
  • 6 Teja whole black pepper
  • 4tbsp Ghee
  •  1/4kg Curd


Mix curd with saffron and keep aside. Mix together chillies, garlic, ginger, coriander and turmeric to a paste. Grind remaining spices to a fine powder. Chop onions and fry in ghee until golden brown. Add the marinated meat to mixture and cook until dry. Add curd and saffron mixture to pan, sprinkle powdered spices and simmer over low heat until the meat is cooked. Serves 6-8 people.
